#My10CommandmentsOfRelationships ~ (5) MAKE IT A WIN-WIN DEAL!!

It is said that in any relationship, there has got to be a sort of 60/40 approach- where one person is expected to give the 60 and the other 40. I believe however that relationships are never about numbers but achieving a win- win deal.(Click here and tweet this). My argument is this, it doesn’t matter who is contributing what, once the mentality is that of a win-win deal, happiness will be achieved.  Any relationship where one person tends to give so much and receives less in return is a toxic one. (Click here and tweet this). Its either the loser is holding on based on fear or has nothing to live for anymore.

Have the decency and the humanity to decide on making sure it’s an all profit gig! Anytime a person walks away with all the winnings at the expense of another’s input, they end up heaping it up for another to easily possess. (Click here and tweet this). Nobody invests in anything to lose even though sometimes providence has a way of conducting the affairs of man: we invest in order to receive that which is due us.

Never try to deprive someone of the love, care, money or opportunities they have invested in your life. The few years I have been around has taught me a great lesson: life is lived in stages, people will always grow into sizes. Today might be yours and tomorrow could be for the one you abused or cheated. (Click here and tweet this). You don’t lose when you decide to make it a win-win deal. Rather, you will continue to enhance your life by seeing others profit from a relationship. There are some unspoken spiritual laws that operate in human circles. You don’t need to believe in God to see them operate everyday yet they do.

I have seen many who abused and deprived others of the returns due them yet they never amounted to anything with what wasn’t theirs. (Click here and tweet this). Growing up, I saw many who thought they were all that mattered and didn’t need others. They trampled underfoot the love, finance, time others invested in them but as time went on, they also became casualties of their deeds because they refused to make it a win- win deal.

I love God with every available fibre in me. Serving God all these years has opened my eyes to how God practises the win-win deal I am talking about. He gives seed to the sower. By default the job of the sower is to sow but without credible seeds, he is handicapped. It’s at this point that God steps in out of His generosity to make it a win- win deal with the sower. I give you seeds you go and sow! If the sower obeys and sows according to the agreed vision and principles, he will yield fruits worthy of God blessing. The sower receives the profit whilst the glory goes to God-win-win deal. (Click here and tweet this).

To make it a win-win deal also means to learn to share. Relationship building is an investment that requires the art of sharing. After all SHARING is CARING! The ethos of any relationship should be that of sharing and subsequently caring. (Click here and tweet this). Until we get it right with making it a win-win deal, you will suffer needlessly.

The law of the mirror also comes to play when thinking about a win-win deal. When you stand in front of the mirror you don’t see me you see you. If you don’t like what you see, change it. Thus in any win-win deal, your heart’s desire should be reflected in the way you treat the next person. The person you are in the relationship with is the mirror you reflect yourself in. (Click here and tweet this). You don’t lose in the long run when you understand making everything you do with others a win-win deal is more spiritual than the natural.

Questions: What does it mean to you when we say make it a win-win deal? Do you believe you are being cheated when the scale doesn’t balance in a relationship? Any experience to share? Kindly leave your comments on the blog.

#My10CommandmentsOfRelationships ~ (1.1) ATTRACTION

Attraction will be my the first law of relationship!  If there is no attraction there can’t be a meaningful relationship. Square pegs will never fit round holes and vice versa! Biology states plainly that like will always produces like! This means you will only attract that which is in sphere of your “like”. It is paramount that you stick to this principle in order to have the peace you need. Interestingly, many never realise this natural law is what runs everything in existence. We have become so plastic without any thought for a pro-fluent relationship. Society has groomed us to just relate once it seems alright. We are never taught how to question ourselves if there is no attraction between the two.

I have been attracted to several things out of ignorance and ended up paying dearly: especially in some relationships.  Funny enough many of us are in a rush to be accepted!  I come across cases of this sort all the time. Why do you want to get yourself into that business? Why do you love that man or woman? Why do you want to be accepted in that group when there is no attraction? The answers people give are so fleeting and lacks concreteness. Tangibility should be derived from any relationship and when there isn’t, it becomes challenging to have a meaningful one.  Relationships are meant to be created in an atmosphere of mutuality and cordiality. The cordial aspect can only be achieved when the attraction is right.

Attraction is divine and it’s wired into every one. It’s only activated when that which makes sense to your spirit is in focus. Inspite of this divinely implanted gift, many go astray only face an uphill task of forcing that which is not. Are you truly attracted to that man or woman, that business or vision or that place you want to live? Does it speak to you in a language you alone understand? Are you accepting the proposal because you think there wouldn't be any other? Until some of these questions one should ask and introspectively search within themselves to come out with answers. Apathy has a strong influence on those who can't stand their ground and defend their beliefs.

Relationships are not meant to be one-sided but rather a symbiosis. It’s should be an effort on each side to enhance its profitability. The principle ingredient to create the harmony is the attraction from each person. I am a firm believer that attraction is not a one-sided thing.  Yet somebody has to initiate the attraction before the eyes of the other is opened to it. Never make the mistake of relating to someone, business or vision if there is no attraction or whatsoever. Many people relate based on need. Whenever that is done, you weaken the power of attraction that could have given you clarity on your way ahead.

Many walk about with a facade. How do I know that…..simply because you cannot operate apart from that which is within you? If you mistakenly get attracted to a person with a facade you are heading for danger or mistaken append your signature to that deal when you've not cleared the facade, you're are doomed. Facades are built based on the experiences people endure in life whilst others emanate out of complexes. Unfortunately most of us never realise we are a mirror reflecting the values, thoughts and visions to the outside world.

Attraction is divine I repeat and its more spiritual than what the eye will direct. In every person is a connection to the Spiritual because we are spiritual beings. If you allow your Spirit man to dictate the course of your relationship, you’ll end up saving yourself a lot of trouble. For those of us who believe in God through His Son Jesus, we have assurance that as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. The Holy Spirit becomes the conduit through whom we can access knowledge in order to attract right. You have an opportunity to get it right the first time with the Holy Spirit of God.

Question:- What does "Attraction" mean to you?

Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus help me. I have chosen out of broken systems of  this life before. I come to you desiring that you will order my steps into the right relationships. I thank you in Jesus' name for answered prayer. Amen!

CARRYING THE EXTRA OIL

The difference between two people is the word extra. (Click here and tweet this). Am sure you are quite familiar with the word extra-ordinary. In simple terms it means something a bit more has been added to the original. In our times, an individual’s ability to win in life demands the input of extras.  Many will disagree with me but fear too has a positive factor. The stress that fear brings creates a sense of urgency that pushes us to fight and change our lives. The extra could mean spending a bit more time with your kids, reading more to improve your vocabulary, listening more in order to sustain the relationship, saving and planning more financially and praying for long hours.

God anoints in trickles and through a person’s faithfulness, much is released. (Click here to tweet this). Success is intentional and successful people have that “intent” to make it. The intent is what allows them to plan skilfully and strategically in order to get the results. Whilst everyone has given up, successful people put in the extra and this is what carries them through. Paul valued the extra in the work he was called to do and became a success. People who make it in life understand why they need the extra.

Having in readiness the extra oil will allow you to survive the turbulence of the enemy. (Click here and tweet this) In the face of adversity, the extra is what will bring the victory you need. It is a secret that keeps you in motion even when all is done.  It is what defeats the enemy and never allows him the last laugh. David picked five stones when he decided to face Goliath. In the immediate, it never made sense for David to pick five stones to kill just one person. You only read the bible further to understand that Goliath had four other brothers who were also giants and these will rise to terrorise Israel. Prophetically the five stones David picked meant Goliath and his extras had already been dealt with. (Click here and tweet this). David’s great men killed the four brothers of Goliath. The extra fasting, studying, practice will definitely yield the needed results.

Questions: What extras do you need in your life to make the difference? Why do you want to stand out? Kindly leave your comments on the blog.
